The card maker lets you put your own images, logos and text on a physical card that we then print. We have no way of knowing whether you are allowed to use what you upload — only you know that. This page sets out what you are promising us when you place an order.

1. What you promise when you upload

By submitting artwork, a logo, a photograph or any other content to Λlo, you confirm that:

• You own it, or you have permission from whoever does, or it is genuinely free to use.
• You are allowed to have it reproduced commercially on a printed product.
• Nobody has told you they claim rights over it.
• It does not infringe anyone's trademark, copyright or design right.
• It does not use someone's face, name or likeness without their agreement.
• It is not obscene, and it is not unlawful.
• It does not attack or demean anyone on the basis of religion, ethnicity, nationality, sex, disability or anything comparable.
• Any link or QR code you add does not lead to malware, fraud, or illegal material.

If you are ordering on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to use that company's brand this way.

2. A note on logos

This is where most problems start, so it is worth being direct.

Putting your employer's logo on a personal card is not automatically permitted just because you work there. Many companies have strict brand rules and some prohibit it outright. Ask first. If your employer objects after the card is printed, that is between you and them — we will have already printed it in good faith, and it is not a fault under our Refund Policy.

The same applies to a client's logo, a football club's badge, a brand's typeface, or a character from a film. Recognisable does not mean free.

3. What we may refuse

We can decline to print any order, and we may cancel and refund one already placed, if we believe the artwork breaks the promises above. We do not review every upload, and not refusing an order is not us confirming your rights are in order.

If we cancel on these grounds before printing, you get a full refund.

4. If someone raises a claim

If a third party contacts us claiming that something you had printed infringes their rights, we will stop printing it and let you know. You agree to cover any cost or claim we face because of artwork you supplied — that is the trade for us printing whatever you send without vetting it.

If you believe a card we produced infringes your rights, write to hello@getalo.shop with what the work is, what you own, where you saw it, and how to reach you. We take these seriously.

5. Your artwork stays yours

Uploading a design does not give us ownership of it. You keep every right you had.

You give us only the permission we need to do the job: to store your file, show you a preview, prepare it for press, and print it on the cards you ordered. Nothing beyond that.

6. We will not put your design in our marketing without asking

We may photograph cards we produce for our own portfolio and advertising — but not cards carrying your logo, your artwork, your name or your contact details, unless you have said yes.

If we would like to feature your card, we will ask. You can say no, and you can change your mind later by writing to us.

7. Our own work

The Λlo name, the Λ mark, our card designs, our photography, the card maker and this website are ours. Ordering a card does not give you a licence to reuse them, and please do not sell cards using our branding.
